All grown up

Well it has finally happened, we are all grown up now. It has only taken how many bloody years? Anyway yesterday we moved into our apartment, our very own place how cool is that and slightly scary, yet cool none the less. So all we have to do now is furnish the place, easy right? Not when you live in the back arse of beyond. We have to wait 2 weeks before our bedroom suite arrives, until then we have
  1. mattress on floor
  2. fridge
  3. hoover
  4. cooker
  5. microwave

Once we have paid for the bedroom stuff we have to wait until the next pay day to get other stuff - but don't worry we have an ample supply of alcohol in the house, and an emergency fund for necessities such as booze. We are spitting distance to pubs and take out joints, don't worry my junk food and alcohol GPS has already mapped out where we can and no doubt will frequent.

That's the problem with being a nomad, I guess. But at least now you can choose stuff you like, instead of having to put up with someone's itchy old couch just because it's in the house you're renting. You can pretend you're back in Tokyo. The apartment there didn't have room for anything else, did it? And what does puss think of his new environment?

I know I can't wait until we get all our stuff. The apartment is pretty big actually - I will have to post some photos, once I find our bloody camera, packed away somewhere probably in the last box that I look in. Our little man is doing well, he loves sliding on the wooden floors, he had a good ol' investigation of the place - ie went into the friggin wall space, thought we had lost him ! He came out covered in cobwebs and black paws !

Ha. Typical cat behaviour. Our Mr Furpants has a cold at the moment, so there's a lot of sneezing going on. It was cute at first, but then the house steadily became covered in a fine film of cat snot and the cut wore off : P

Sorry, that would be "the cute", not "the cut".

Isn't it awesome when you get your own place. That feeling when you come home and shut the door. Ah I wouldn't swap it for anything....ok..maybe for one night with Robbie Williams but yeah........
